BLACK SWAN ON DVD MARCH 29, 2011

Hot on the heels of an Oscar win for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role by Natalie Portman, Fox Searchlight Pictures has announced that Black Swan will come to DVD and Blu-ray on March 29, 2011. The film also won the Golden Globe in the same category and received several other Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations.

About Black Swan:
A ballet dancer wins the lead in “Swan Lake” and is perfect for the role of the delicate White Swan – Princess Odette – but slowly loses her mind as she becomes more and more like Odile, the Black Swan.

Black Swan stars Portman, Mila Kunis, Vincent Cassel, Barbara Hershey and Winona Ryder. The film is directed by Darren Aronofsky (The Wrestler).

VATIC

WOW.... I was amped to come see this show. I feel like a movie critic/ dance critic because I don't go see everything just things that matter. I met Dana Foglia at a Aids benefit along with some amazing dancers in 2010 and I was blown away by the intricate combinations she put together in stilettos. So now her new show VATIC was a must see! I was excited to know that most of the dancers were from Broadway Dance Center .So I felt like I was not just supporting Dana's work but everyone that bust their ass at Broadway Dance Center. So I got wind of the show again by a friend Mishay Petronelli she was telling that I would really enjoy the show the dark take on it. I was like ok I'm ready so I walked in the theatre and BOOM! The dancers were set already giving you the vibe of the whole experience it was intense. Space Alien suits was DOPE the space at MMAC couldn't have been better. The first song played my heart dropped to the floor why because it was from the soundtrack TRON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I was scared to see how they would fuse the film song and the dance together. I also seen the movie so I was wondering how they would connect it.. I cried once it finished why???? Because I felt understood as a artist. I felt like the dance was for me integrating film and dance together so personable I felt like I was on the GRID. The dancers in the show was selling the hell out it.. That's what you need. I respect that Dana gave me the best to watch. All dancers were so passionate.

Highlight Moments---- Ryan Davis, Moncef Outiche, Justin Conte KILLLING IT in the Missy Remixxx what!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It made me want to jump out my seat and boom boom kack and I dont even know how.

Mishay Petronelli- What a talent she has! I was nervous as hell when she was on the ladder it was thrilling mannnn her acrobatic moves and technique gave the show something else to look at  took it to another level.

Natsuki Miya- I couldn't keep my eyes off of you.. I felt like every time you hit a move passion seeped through your guts. It was beautiful. You gave me everything I wanted and more The energy was god like.

To all of the other dancers yall killed it as well it's a group effort to sell a show.

The length was perfect. The lighting was brilliant.

I praise the show and wish it had a longer run.

Congrats to all Dancers!!!!!!! Especially Dana Foglia and Joanna Numata

Great WORK. I'm a fan IT WAS STADIUM STATUS!

Don't pay attention to the video just the audio. It's a personal song to me. I was in High School 2007 and everyday this song was played in the morning in the car with my friends and after school non-stop all I can see is the fun we had all that time. Miss you guys Ohhh yeah it's GOGO. I'm from Washington D.C it's a type of music we listen to there.

The Knife - Heartbeats ( OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO W/ SOUND )

HOOFER OF THE WEEK

Quirky Contemporary and Innovative

Just a few words to describe Michelle Dorrance I worked with her when I was 10 yrs old. She was only 21 at the time and was hip as hell I loved her book bag made of silver tape. But things have come full circle for both of us and we are able to work with each other once again at our prime in the TAP WORLD! She teaches at Broadway Dance Center and she works the enormous show STOMP. She's a genius I don't use the word a lot either it's something that comes only a few times. She's a HOOFER at heart and choreographer who knows how to DIRECT. It's something to see. It's a honor to be working with her right now in her show that she's doing right now ...Opening Night is tonight and it's a shared evening with Dormeshia Sumbry -Edwards. I have to say I can't wait to do a show with Michelle it's like GAGA and Kanye West doing that concert they was supposed to do that never happened. I see her work already at Dance Festivals, Joyce Theater NYC, Dance Theater Workshops. It's Gripping, Fun, and Gritty. Her work makes the average dancer look amazing.

Bart Mastronardi

So I herd at NYFA that some of my friends had a horror director as a teacher. Yes I was super jealous and you know me I find out who the hell it is. So I searched and figured it out.... it was Bart Mastrondari at the time I got a hold of him he was doing it big. He was screening his successful horror film Vindication at Fangoria Horror Week. I went with my friend Oliver and I checked it out it was a beautiful film. It was scary in way that wasn't Hollywood (that's a good thing). I was amped to actually know this director . Whenever I know I am close enough to network with someone I make it happen. So I did and right now we are actually great friends he gives me awesome advice on my screenplays and motivates to continue with my horror films.

If you didn't know check out the link below more info on Bart

STEVEN DUARTE

I'm a fan of Steven Duarte I ran into his work one day while looking for photos on Facebook and I couldn't find anything that popped. I have fine taste in art and in photography and just people in general I surround myself with the best. Then I saw the "ADD AS FRIEND" STEVEN DUARTE. As soon as I reached the photos I was blown away I was like wow this is really cool. Black guy who does Film and he's good at it. He has his own feel for things and he's not typical like the rest ("followers"). I was so inspired I had to write him so I did and he was intelligent ,weird ,cool, and professional dude. So we talked briefly about film and photography and I was on a creative high. That was 2yrs ago and still today I look up to his work and we keep in touch.

The Pics Above are of Steven and Photos that he has taken. Check out his website and LEARN MORE ABOUT STEVEN DUARTE http://www.stevenduarte.com/
